In case you noticed that the @_StudioMirai Walrus storage node has less uptime than other nodes, here's why. We're using a filesystem called ZFS for our node, and one of the best features of ZFS is the ability to take point-in-time snapshots. Before taking a snapshot, it's recommended to stop the node software to prevent any data from being written during the snapshot (which could result in a corrupt snapshot). So, what we do is stop the node, take a snapshot, and restart the node. This only results in a few seconds of downtime, but resets the uptime counter. In the future, we'll probably mostly take incremental snapshots when upgrading node software unless there's a huge influx of blobs that warrant taking an unscheduled snapshot to prevent snapshot size from getting too large and unwieldy (makes parallel downloading more difficult on the restore side). Today was one such moment due to @TuskyTools migration from testnet to mainnet. TLDR; no need to worry. Our node is fine, and this is part of our backup protocols. 🔥

5/7 Navigate to the website’s list of nodes and select the one you’d like to stake in. For this example, I'll be using @_StudioMirai's storage node. Select it and stake a percentage or all your $WAL tokens. if you don't have $WAL, you can also swap some $SUI or $USDC in an aggregator like @7k_ag_ @FlowX_finance @CetusProtocol @Turbos_finance among others.
