The EU costs are a factor for sure. That's decent hardware for the price. In North America we have huge volumes of off-lease enterprise hardware or mini PCs that are inexpensive. For one @BitcoinKnots node, I'm using an like-new Lenovo M920Q with 2TB Koxia M.2 NVME, 32GB DDR4, 1TB HDD (backup drive) for only 159 EUR This is 50% more powerful than a dedicated Umbrel N100 at a fraction of the cost. I'm running Proxmox on this, a number of LXC & Umbrel can run in VM. As for Enterprise hardware, bought a used Enterprise HPE DL360 Gen9 server for just a little more $$$ than a maxed out #Bitaxe Gamma with fan upgrades. I then added some additional parts I received free from local IT recycling to it to turn it into a @TProxmox beast. I was EXETREMELY lucky getting much of the parts free from recycling or for little to nothing. Total Cost: $375 🇨🇦 / $261 🇺🇸 / 239 🇪🇺 ▶︎ Model: HPE DL360 Gen 9 ▶︎ Processor: 2x Intel Xeon E5-2697 v4 (18 core each) ▶︎ Memory / RAM: 1024 GB DDR4 ECC ▶︎ Storage: 4x 8TB ZFS Storage IronWolf HDD ▶︎ Storage: 2x 1TB Intel Enterprise P4510 U.2 NVME ▶︎ OS: Proxmox I'm running dozens of LXC, VMs, #Bitcoin node ( @umbrel & @start9labs ) & various OS for testing, RDP & still barely using any capacity & almost no IO delay. Keep looking locally for enterprise recycling locally, you might get lucky & find some hardware like I did. I does idle under 180w & is in my garage so I don't have to hear it. If you have that flexibility, some cheap recycled enterprise gear might be a welcome addition rather than buying newer upgrades.

But to witness a propagation time less than a 1sec from @FoundryServices (USA) to my humble Raspberry Pi 5 running @BitcoinKnots (UK) is a feat! As a miner, we dream of starting to mine the next block at the same time as the large-scale industrials!
