Dear #LUNC Community, It is highly likely that $USTC will not be delisted from Binance. And that is GOOD NEWS. Maybe... As I wrote to you on March 3, 2025: Binance announced at the time that USTC would also be delisted because it is a "stablecoin" that violates European regulations. "Following the latest guidance from EU authorities in relation to stablecoins, we are making changes to the availability of non-MiCA compliant Stablecoins in the EEA to comply with regulatory requirements. Impacted assets are USDT, FDUSD, TUSD, USDP, DAI, AEUR, UST, USTC and PAXG." So, I have contacted Binance and the European financial authorities to explain why they decided to take this step and why they are taking steps that harm the interests of European retail investors. But still, they talked about USTC as a stablecoin, and this is very far from the truth after the UST crash in May 2022. Bad news: I never got a clear answer, only legal nonsense... In addition, I had some conversations (on my own behalf) with people who are really close to these things... At that time, it didn't look like we had any chance... Good news: Today, March 28: ...the situation is completely different. Binance sent a reminder to people from the EEA (including me), where they say that they are delisting the named stablecoins that do not comply with European regulations. And our "stablecoin" $USTC is not among them. And this looks really good... "We would like to remind you that, in accordance with EU regulations, non-MiCA compliant stablecoins (USDT, FDUSD, TUSD, USDP, DAI, AEUR, XUSD, and PAXG) will be delisted for EEA users on March 31st at 23:59 (UTC)." It is difficult to predict the reasons for this situation. But if Binance ultimately decides to keep USTC, then that is good news.
