Here's how contributing to a DePIN can turn your car into a crypto machine. Computers on wheels Your car is a 'computer on wheels,' generating around 25gb of data per hour, including your location, driving habits, and even entertainment preferences. Car companies are already profiting from this existing data stream, with 76% admitting to selling it – a market projected to reach $750 billion by 2030, with minimal returns for you. Navigation apps on your smartphone are also continuously collecting and monetizing your movement. Beyond this data, there's another layer of valuable information crucial for the future of autonomous vehicles (AVs). WAGOI offers a platform to access and monetize your legally entitled car data, using the EU Data Act. By signing up, you can request and receive your data directly from car manufacturers and then trade it on the WAGOI marketplace for $WAGOI tokens. Notably, no additional hardware is required. Soarchain rewards contributors sharing vehicle-generated data with $SOAR tokens. Peaq posted about, and I quote: "Intercognitive is where DePIN, DePAI and the Machine Economy converge" What is intercognitive and other terms DePIN : (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network) These are decentralized infrastructures that are usually owned by users that form together a community. Cutting out the middle-man like organisations or institutions. Think about "WAGOI" for example. An initiative from Polkadot parachain Peaq where car owners own their own car data instead of the car factories. They can decide howevery if they sell or keep their data private on-chain. DePAI: (Decentralized Physical AI) This involves integrating AI with devices like robots or drones for example, but in a decentralized way. This makes the machines operate autonomously within Web3. Machine Economy: This is a system where machines (can) own assets and perform certain tasks. For example transact value autonomously which is mostly done on on-chain tech. Intercognitive: refers to the collaborative initiative where DePIN, DePAI and Machine Economy comes together.
