@mattkratter I successfully migrated full Bitcoin node from Core to Knots. I use Windows 11 OS. Why are there no tutorials for Windows, which makes up 70% of users? Which lightning node for windows do you recommend? I tried Alby Hub, but the fees are too high.

The most popular wallet on the island is Wallet of Satoshi (this is also used by @BTCisla to onboard merchants). However, I am from the US and could not use WOS either. I run my own lightning node using Alby Hub so I used the AlbyGo app and had zero problems. Worked perfectly. Every lightning invoice I paid the merchant had WOS. I actually think I used @AquaBitcoin for one transaction just to try it and it also worked fine. For US users, I always recommend Aqua since you can easily use onchain, lightning and liquid and auto swap between them and it works great.

Today we tried our new set up in the real world - running our Bitcoin node on start9 server running AlbyHub. Went to Price Smart payed with Bitcoin lightning with Alby Go wallet connected to the node, waited a few seconds but the transaction went through the first time. They have Athena Pay terminal, good thing they updated to accept lightning, I remember like over a year ago you could only pay on-chain. Then we went to selectos with their crappy chivo web application, payed with lightning with Alby Go again and it went through smoothly. After making those payments I realized I basically payed in cash - no middle man involved, no bank, no permission, no custodial wallet- The words that came to my mind were: "electronic cash" It felt great.

@StackUpYourSats Yeah, I think there will be better options built once we've got introspection (i.e. covenants). For now, if you want instant cheap and small payments, you've gotta manage that inbound liquidity on a Lightning node. I use Alby Hub which makes it pretty easy.
