@barackomaba @scottmsul How does it help Citrea? They could build what they want with *or without* the OP_RETURN limit being lifted. Also, with or without filters. Raising the OP_RETURN limit reduces UTXO bloat and miner centralization. You could argue it sets a precedent, but that's about it.

@hodlorado @citrea_xyz and it's bitcoin: telling someone their opinion doesn't matter, or they wouldn't understand is a sure-fire way to start a shitstorm.JPEGs (or other non-spam infrequent but real use-case large transactions) being dropped by node policy is degrading compact-blocks significantly.

They can however play with the OP_RETURN limit and have a voice. Removing this policy rule takes away agency from node runners. Also Core can't meme. 😬
