The Miner-Redirect mechanism within the TAP Protocol has hugely positive implications for Bitcoin’s long-term sustainability. It has already created an entirely new revenue stream for miners! 💰 Miners now earn $NAT on top of their standard BTC rewards without any additional costs to them. No added electricity or extra machines are required, they just receive additional value from doing the exact same job. ⛏️ The amount of $NAT tokens generated per block is tied to the hash-rate when a block is mined. So if a block is mined when a higher number of miners are online, less $NAT tokens are produced by Bitcoin. This is an deflationary mechanism meaning greater activity on Bitcoin, results in less new $NAT being released. This completely aligns the incentives of miners, as the more they mine, the more Bitcoin they earn, and therefore the more $NAT token they will receive. 🤝 As @TheBlockRunner guys discuss in the clip below, an increasing market cap of the $NAT token, would increase the dollar value of the rewards miners receive every 10mins. TAP is powering Bitcoin’s 2nd subsidy, and we are the only Bitcoin protocol that does this.
