Today, I had the pleasure of engaging with the first two Local Node regional evaluations — a key milestone in @Scroll_ZKP DAO’s journey to global community building 🌍 Let me tell you more about this exciting step forward 👇 Local Nodes is a community-first initiative, born from Scroll DAO, designed to source and support local builders and founders worldwide. At its core: giving communities the tools and structure to participate meaningfully in the Open Economy. Originally proposed during Scroll DAO’s Co-Creation Cycle, the idea was simple: 💡 Let’s create community hubs around the world to foster localized growth and collaboration. But the vision quickly evolved into something much bigger. As the framework matured, we saw an opportunity: 🤯To align Local Nodes with Scroll’s mission of identifying and empowering founders — those who will shape the Open Economy from the ground up. Decentralized, diverse, and deeply local. A regional evaluation helps us understand if a Local Node makes sense in a specific area. It’s a way for the DAO to be thoughtful about where we deploy resources — looking at local momentum, builder potential, and community energy. The Scroll Foundation initially encouraged 🇰🇪 Kenya, 🇰🇷 Korea, 🇲🇾 Malaysia, and 🇧🇷 Brazil to explore this model. Today, new regional champions are stepping up in: 🇦🇷 Argentina 🇲🇽 Mexico 🇵🇪 Peru 🇵🇹 Portugal 🇳🇬 Nigeria ...and more to come.
